This is a really fantastic product if you just cook one egg in it. I think a lot of the complaints by reviewers can be traced back to the manufacturer's packaging instruction which encourages up to two eggs to be cooked simultaneously.

I can see how cooking 2 eggs in this thing could make a mess. I would not recommend to use 2 eggs at all.

Instead, spray the Microegg with non-stick cooking spray, and crack a single egg inside. Seal the closure flap tightly and (keeping the product with egg inside level) wrap the whole thing up in a paper towel and put it in the microwave for 40 seconds. The egg will just fall out of the Microegg when you open it upside down.

It makes a very tasty egg by comparison with any frozen or drive-thru breakfast sandwich and it is ready soooo fast.

It takes me about 2 minutes to make a perfect breakfast sandwich with this thing:
1.) English muffin in toaster (toasting bread is the longest part of the process)
2.) Microegg in microwave as directed above for 40 seconds
3.) Pre-cooked bacon / Canadian bacon wrapped in paper towel in microwave for 30-40 seconds
4.) Open toasted bun, plop the egg out of the Microegg onto the bun
5.) Put a piece of deli American cheese on there (it will melt on its own as the egg is still hot)
6.) Bacon on top of that and seal with the top bun...
7.) Wrap in aluminum foil and eat it on the commute!

Me and my buddies were eating these for dinner this weekend, they were so good. Everyone was surprised how fast and tasty it was. Its as good as any breakfast chain, and realistically even faster than fast food.

Also, as far as the cleaning, if there is egg residue when you are done cooking, just leave it until it dries up (i.e. when you get home from work or the next morning), and then clean it. The dried bits just fall out easy, especially if you used cooking spray.

Bottom line - 1 egg and cooking spray will help you make a perfect egg sandwich egg in 40 seconds or less. The gap in scores on this review suggest that people are not using the product well and I think it is the manufacturer's fault for emphasizing the 2 egg angle - and they should not do that with this product.
