The size and weight are about right, but the quality is not quite up there for the price. The egg cup does not fit flush with the pan unless you have it on one side of the pan (mine is opposite of the side in the product picture). The lid also only fits flush when the egg cup is in the limited area it fits. This appears to be a flaw with the manufacturing process and not by design.
As expected, a dish towel or mitt is required to remove the egg cup due to the handle being hot. This is just common sense and is part of cooking.
Before using the cup, I washed it in warm, soapy water, than sprayed with PAM. Each time I use it, I put a large dab of butter in the cup (wait for it to melt before adding the egg) and cook from 3 1/2 to 4 minutes. I rinse it out with hot water and dry with a paper towel when finished (I never wash nonstick items in the dishwasher). So far I've cooked about 12 eggs and the egg just slides out of the cup without any sticking. Keep in mind, nonstick generally requires preconditioning and proper care if you want it to last.
Personally, I believe it should be priced closer to 10 to 12 dollars, but since there is nothing else I've found comparable on this site, supply and demand dictates the price.
As for the Vendor, I've found "Red Arrow Savings" to be very responsive to customer concerns and would rate them 5 stars.
